Portfolio of Works

For the past 5 years I have painted 31 paintings in 31 days in January.  Then I take the paintings and create a fundraiser for NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness).  It has been an amazing journey both empowering and exhausting. This is not an endeaver I could keep up all year long, but is a fulfilling one when complete. It has challenged me as an artist to become more flexible and work outside my comfort zones.  It ha also given me the gift of adventure and unexpected joy.

I decided to create this new category since many of my paintings are about "Farm life". Growing up, I spent much of my childhood at my grandmother's ranch which I currently live on.  Though I do not have the livestock she had, which included cattle, chickens, sheep and later a pig farm, the land is still used for grazing a neighbors sheep. I love where I live and all the open farmland is constantly inspiring me to paint.
